5.0.4 which warlock spec

Post by abulurd So far I've done one raid as destro. If felt really weird not having as many buttons to hit, but I will probably have a destro off spec for the nights when I want something easy. Chaos Bolt finally feels as strong as I've always wanted it to be. No corruption feels weird after a whole expansion of casting it, but thematically I like the change. I haven't tried demo or affliction yet other than raid dummy's, so, we'll see how those do in lfr the next couple of days and next weeks raid.

Post by lock13 Due to raiding with 10 frps, and even lower at some points, I couldn't get an accurate read on my dmg. Mechanically though, affliction is great on some fights. On boat you can SB:SS on all the dragons and viking adds. So your dmg flies. On spine, SB:SS on the tendon is great, and at the end when there's bloods up, harvest life is nice for healing and dmg.

Doing madness tonight. I might try the everlasting affliction glyph. I usually pull k on this fight due to afflictions awesome ability to proc spellweave. So we'll see how it fairs now. Post by Magician Just started playing around with Demo today, and first impressions are "OK" so far. Its different, and feels clunky, but I think that will change with time. I do see a major need now for some better timers or power aura setup, as keeping a good monitor on CD's is a lot tougher, and more necessary than before.

I am kinda dissapointed in this, because that is why I chose Demo in the first place, to not have to monitor so may timers. Proper use of CDs and timers results in massive DPS, where just mashing buttons will gimp you worse than any other class. I think once I get my UI set up correctly, the spec will be fun and very viable. I found both really hard to play now. Affli, not sure, but seems interesting. Sounds fun. You have a lot of ways to heal, but choosing health or damage I was wondering, what's the best spec for leveling through LFD?

I'm torn between Demo and Destruction. Frost Presence now increases your Runic Power generation, and each specialization learns a passive effect that should cause that specialization to favor the corresponding Presence for general use.

Necrotic Strike , as well as the new talent Death Siphon , both cost a Death Rune , meaning that they can only be used when one of your runes has been transformed to Death. The Feral specialization has been split into Feral for Cat-focused druids and Guardian for Bear-focused druids specializations. Each of the four specializations has a more distinct and different set of tools, but all of the spells available to the specialization are now useful.

For example, Feral and Guardian druids can cast Healing Touch for a useful amount of healing, and Balance and Restoration druids can make better use of the Cat Form and Bear Form abilities they have. There is no longer a minimum range for the class. The ranged weapon slot has been removed from the game; hunters now equip their ranged weapon in the main hand weapon slot. Hunters now benefit from Expertise as their ranged attacks can be dodged. Any type of pet can now choose any specialization Ferocity , Tenacity , or Cunning.

Mages received many changes intended to flesh out rotations and make them more interesting. Arcane mages now have a more complex rotation. Fire mages now have tools to control the random nature of their spells. Frost mages are now considerably stronger at sustained damage dealing, and now viable in PvE. Much of the crowd control and survivability that was unique to Frost has been spread to the whole class, or made available to all specs as talents. Paladins now have several ranged abilities , though remain primarily melee combatants.

In-line with streamlining raid buffs more on that below , Auras have been removed, and the buff focus is now on Seals.

Ex of what i would be looking for is pros and cons of blood fear and unbound will. I think the free trinket is better and nothing makes me more happy than removing a combust with it but i would like the view from the top instead of the my view from low middle of the pack.

Or warlock tricks like havoc and death coil two peeps or the effectiveness of gosac soulinks heal, is it worth the lost offensive dispel and cs being on your pet instead of me.

How to survive outside of our cooldowns, how to kill bm hunters frost mages and fire mages. I realize the pros are busy learning their new class as am i but really any info even if its just some mop arena footage from the lock pov. How is being able to change specs before arena starts, what specific specs do we prefer vs xxx. Really just any info because knowledge in this game is huge. Whats better for locks now wld, wmd. Not trying to be mean like other peeps have said i am just looking for the competitive advantage.

I'm the same there is not any thing for lock's and it kind of sad. Ok so frost your saying that we should not ask were the lock videos are at. So were paying to learn people opinions on classes we do not play? Dude you can lol all day and try to be the spokesman for skill-capped but at the end of it if i pay for something for my class and there is no video for it there is a prob.

Don't get me wrong i'm not mad i find it funny that you laugh at people who ask good questions. I know it will take time but still it's mad stupid for you to come in and tell people it's "common sense" when u subscribe to skill-capped to i'm playing affliction still but i would like to know if destro is better and why. First off, let me start off by saying I agree with you that having our fine contributors chime in and release videos on their initial thoughts for this patch would be great.

Contributors have an exceptional amount of game knowledge and could utilize this experience to determine what sort of ramifications ability and talent changes will have on the play style of Warlock. The Skill-Capped community offers you a chance to explore new ideas and have positive discussions without the flame wars and ridicule one might find on other community websites. To me, the forums have been a huge benefit to my game play — despite the lack of contributor content.
